The beef goes onto a screaming-hot flat-top and gets smashed hard, creating a lacy, caramelized crust that locks in all the flavor. It's a specific technique, and Scratch has dedicated itself to doing it right.
Poblacion was the perfect neighborhood to launch in — the kind of place where people eat well, stay out late, and return again and again for the things they love. Scratch fit right in from day one. The brand grew quickly, powered by word of mouth and a social following that kept up with every burger drop and late-night special.
We do not use frozen patties, pre-made sauces, or anything that compromises the burger. Every component — the beef, the bun, the toppings — is chosen with intention and prepared with care every single shift.

The first Scratch Smashburgers opens at 5666 Don Pedro Street, Poblacion, Makati City. The smash technique, the potato bun, and the late-night hours immediately resonate with the neighborhood crowd.
Scratch opens a second location at Four Neo, 4th Avenue corner 30th and 31st Street, Bonifacio Global City. The brand's reach expands into one of Metro Manila's most active dining corridors.
